Customer service stinks!!

Called iwireless to activate new phone. Needed to port over our number from sprint.

Iwireless customer service rep told me it would take 24 to 72 hours for the port to be complete. Ok fine. Well after the 72 hours we still did not hear from iwireless so I called to see if we could get the phone activated. Talked to a CS rep first, she said it was confirmed and would look into why I was not called to activate the phone.

Said she would call me back. 3 hours later I called back. They couldn't give me a reason why the phone was not activated, so I asked to speak with supervisor. Supervisor Ashley said there was nothing she could do and she didn't care the 72 hours were up.

She said it was in the system and to give them another 24 hours. Well 13 hours later Eric called to tell me the phone was ready for activation. Walked me through all the steps but the phone was still not working. He researched and said that it is telling him now that the port was not complete but still confirmed.

He said he would call me back. Called back a few hours later telling me that the port was stuck in the computer. He said he would call me the next day to get it going. Well no call came.

I called customer service only to be told to wait another 24 to 48 hours. Seriously??? I asked why it was taking so long and the customer service rep Jo told me I was being rude and shouldn't ask that about the company she works for and hung up on me. Now mind you I still had an order I wanted to check on.

Didn't get to since she rudely hung up on me. So I called and filed a complaint with Kroger since that is where we got the phone from. They should know what kind of company Iwireless really is. The guy was shocked that the port was not done within the 72 hours and couldn't believe the customer rep hung up on me...the customer.

I still can't believe it. Doesn't she realize that it is us Iwireless customers who pay her salary?

But he did say I was not the only one complaining about this. Maybe they will quit carrying Iwireless.

Almost the exact same thing happened to me. After a week and several hours on the phone with various customer "service" people my phone is still not activated.

I have been promised a call back by 3 people and have not received one. I also emailed twice the second one has not been answered. It is unbelievably frustrating to speak to their representatives who are reading from a script and it is almost impossible to get any real information out of them.

I got the same 24 to 72 hours quote 3 times. Definitely leaving this company that I have been with for years.

Phones they carry are so bad, I got three in a row that wouldn't work

1st phone was $160 dollars, was broken out of the box. 2nd phone lasted 9 weeks and was dead in the water with screen that shut down as soon as you dialed number. I had to take back off to hang up. Customer service is the worst I have ever tried to deal with, over an hour on waiting for your turn and then they dropped the call. Finally after hours on troubleshooting from India they say ok, your phone is broken please send it in to be repaired. Wait for email, got the email with information after a few more days. But wait, another email hours after the first one saying don't mail yet, further looking into my claim. Finally email to mail, at my expense to be repaired. They send me a loaner that does not work at all, after hours on the phone with company, they agree to send loaner. Huge run around about this one not working. A new story about why every time I called. I'm still waiting for my 1st phone to come back to me, had to buy another phone to get service. No happy endings here.

your story is just the same as mine. Almost two months trying to get them to be honest about this and take care of it. No dice on their part.

I-Wireless from Kroger

I just received 2 HTC evo cell phones today one didn't work it just kept restarting. So I called i-wireless support 3 different techs said they couldn't help because they were not trained on the phone and I had to ship it back at my expense. So I ask to speak to a supervisor I asked why I had to pay for shipping back a cell phone that NEVER worked he said that their policy and hung-up on me. Terrible customer service.. The only thing I can do at this point is dispute the charges with my credit card company. I would strongly suggest use a different cell phone company to anyone thinking about i-wireless.

Iwirelesshome took advantage of my 17 year old

My 17 year old daughter bought a prepay cell phone, she then purchased a 20 dollar card for airtime, we went home and put the money on the phone by our landline. We then find out there is no service here, when I called iwirelesshome the "supervisor" Cody employee # 1040**** informed me too bad they do not refund for the prepaid card, it was not my daughters fault and I told him I will not let this go, he said they don't even get the money that it goes to a third party and would not give me there name.

What a way to scam people, not take responsibility and not give you anywhere to go.

I tried to explain that 20 dollars was very little money to save from bad word of mouth, he laughed it off, didn't care said it was my fault, just a total jerk. Don't do business with these scammers.

All prepaids are none refundable and a coverage map is readily available. She needs more home training.

I understand everything that everyone has to complain about...I purchased a phone through my job ZTE(don't do it people, they are a joke to, because they offered smartphones at a discount...boy, what a hassle just getting the service started...I live in Ohio...they connected with Iwireless in Iowa...then proceeded to connect me to Cincinnati bell...I live in an entirely different city....ok we cleared that up....then I started having problems with the phone itself...at first I thought it might be the battery...so I called customer service to see if thwat were the case...if so, would Iwireless be willing to replace the battery...now mind you i have had the phone for a little over a month and already problems with the handset, they told me yes, then no they could not replace the battery..."call the manufacturer...that was horse@#$% because when I called them, turns out they were in India or somewhere like that but i could hardly understand a word they said, then the manufacturer proceded to tell me that Iwireles gave me misinformation...so I called back...then during the course of calling back and forth and feeling like a pingpong ball...all I wanted really was to get the problem fixed...but neither company wanted to accomodate me...and both kept telling me that they were tech support...and until I had the supv. called the warrnety center....and found out they were not going tot help me with the problem....finally i took the bull by the horns....I am waiting on a replacement phone right now...i will let you all knwo if that turned out ok too.

I have an iwireless phone and I do not have coverage in my area which I was well aware (because I did my research) before buying the phone. I do not use it when I at home but I used a lot for work and around that area I have coverage and I am very happy with the service. Do your research before buying something and then whine like little kids because not it is not your fault but yes it is.

I wireless takes advantage of you with Data plans.

DON'T GO OUT AND BUY A SMART PHONE WITH A PRE- PAID PLAN FROM I-wireless this overseas based company mis represents its service. I HAVE A SMART PHONE I take my sim card out in-order to surf the web, email through my home .Guess WHAT!!!

They charged me data for that!!!! And they will and have been charging you to ask them.

@ BG: To bad you had to make a fool of yourself by writing twice.

You're saying these people are *** for buying phones and expecting them to have coverage where they're purchased?

What kind of company sells phones in areas where they don't have coverage to begin with?

These people are't *** for buying phones in good faith and expect them to work!

My daughter looked on the map and it was very hard to see if we had coverage, so she ask the sales lady if our town was covered and was told yes. Even when I called iwireless the first person I spoke with told me we were in the coverage area, then Cody told me we were just out of coverage by a mile. So no it wasn't her fault.

Wouldn't it be prudent to check if there is coverage in your area before getting a cell phone? Even if it is prepaid, you can't be seriously upset at them for something that is your own fault. It s u c k s that you bought a phone for which you are out of coverage, but that isn't their fault.
